about agapetica

In the “labels”/“tags” for Yggdrasylvan Yden & Ylyzion, I included the term “agapetica”.

To explain that concept:

The ancient Greeks supposedly understood several different forms of love.

“Philía” or friendship-love, “storgē” or family-love, “éros” or sexual-love, and “agápe” or transcendent-love.

Obviously, the term “erotica” is derived from “éros”. Due to the sexual nature of the love being depicted or poetically transmitted.

However, the concept of “agápe” could indeed be utilized as the basis for a new kind of “erotica” which goes beyond the bodily pleasures of “éros”, and aims towards the pleasures of profundity.

That would be “agapetica”.

Now,
the full-length story Yggdrasylvan Yden & Ylyzion only has a certain amount of “agapetica”, 
in comparison with the volume of “erotica” that it contains.

But...
...it seemed important enough to make a clear note of this concept,
because I feel that there is MUCH more worthwhile territory to explore with “agapetica”.

Way beyond what I’ve managed to do.

So,
for the sake of anyone who might become inspired, I wrote this little message.
